Eda Go

Founder, Teacher's Trails and Inquiry Based Learning Educator

Eda’s journey in education started when she took up her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in De La Salle University-Manila. She was inspired to learn from her professors the value of progressive education, play based learning and how the world is beginning to recognize the important skills students need to develop that are valuable in their real lives at present and in the future.

On her first job in Manila, she was fortunate to be introduced to Project Based Learning Approach inspired by Reggio Emilia. She found great value in integrating different subject areas to connect with the themes or inquiry units and using students’ voice and choice in designing her learning engagements for young children.

In her stay in Singapore for 9 years, she taught in schools where play and hands on learning experiences were highly valued. She was introduced to the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) Framework where her journey in inquiry-based learning approach further deepened. She was mentored by Manju Nair in her understanding about student agency and different ways we can design opportunities for children to express themselves as they are learning. She saw the benefits of applying this approach into her own life as she thrives to learn more things everyday. She also continued developing her understanding on best practices in education by taking up her Master’s Degree in Wheelock College.

Eda is currently based in Shenzhen, China where she continues to develop her own practice in teaching and leading. She believes in the value of sharing the things she has learnt in her journey as an educator so we can collectively create positive impact to more children around the world. Having been certified in T Harv Eker’s “Train the Trainer,” she now tries to impart her learnings from different workshops, global educational conferences, and personal teaching experiences with as many parents, families and other educators as she can.
